a few reviews online

I noticed reviews in the Austin Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, and online at indieWIRE and GreenCine Daily. Check 'em out! It's Exciting!

UPDATE: there's an interview by Real TV Films, a review on Cinemablend, and a metromix review for the upcoming baltimore screening.

Thanks for making your film.

I'm a guy, in a polyamorous relationship with a woman. We would probably both be labeled "bi" by most people.

That said, I have a question.

Why the label? I think people have the right to self-identify any way they like, but why this drive to label others?

For myself, my partner, and lots of our friends (who self-label all over the map) I would like to say that the labeling is a problem.

First, it assumes there is this one axis of measuring sexuality, with "straight" on one end, and "gay" on the other, with "bi" somewhere in the middle. That's obviously wrong, right off the bat.

There are many more dimensions to human sexuality. How about power exchange? How about transgendered? How about fetishes? How about sexual preferences aside from gender?

What about the self-identified straight, married-with-children, man who has a desire for anal sex from men, but is not otherwise intimate or partnered with men?

How would you describe a very femme woman who likes very femme men? Or a very butch woman who enjoys a dominant relationship with femme men? Are they "straight"?

The only labeling that makes any sense to me is "straight" and "queer", where queer means everything that's not straight.

All that said, I'm glad you've made your movie. It does represent progress, of sorts.

I'm looking forward to seeing it here in Seattle.

i got a chance to see the film in austin. the film definitely addresses what you're talking about. you end up with kind of a portrait of sexualities that really defy categorization. i think you'll like it a lot.
